Keeping the Focus

Well the title says it all really. I have to make an admission, I deleted two comments from this blog, and I did it before I really thought about it.
One of the comments was about someone making a million dollars in one day, so with half a brain I should be able to do it in 12 months.
I must applaud this person, making a million dollars in one day is by no means a small feat, and I would like to congratulate this person, however the comment was left Anonymously, as was the second comment.

Lets not lose focus however, I want to reflect upon another post in this blog about listening to the wrong sort of people, I am sure the comments on this blog were left in jest. And I am sure you will all agree that a lot of comments are generally passed in jest.
Sometimes it underlies a deeper meaning for the person who passed the comment. It may stem from a lack of being socially accepted for that person. It may be that the person has a low self esteem that they feel they need to drag someone else down (probably to their level). This is often referred to as 'Tall Poppy' syndrome and quite frankly it is a 'sport' of people who will probably never have the courage to leave their comfort zone and never really experience true success, in short the remain average.
In my experience the comments made are also made from an uninformed perspective, people are quick to grab an idea and run with it regardless of its accuracy. The media would be the best example I could give you of this.
I am going to leave this topic with this thought.

"Average Thinking Produces Average Results"

I would now like to take the time to let people now that 10% of the profits made from this blog will be gifted to a charity, there will be a poll added to this blog to see where you would like to the money go to.

So what can I tell you today to help, well I guess the lesson is in what I wrote above. You always have the ability to choose how your respond to something. No one has the power to take that from you unless you let them.
What do I mean by that? Lets say that you have been waiting for a car park for ten minutes and someone comes in and beats you too the park. how would you feel? For most of us we would be upset, and a little angry, who has the power in this situation?
Well if we are angry and upset then the person who took your park has the power.
If on the other hand you remain calm and try and find the positive in it then you have the power. Simple as that.

So when I got the second comment about, 'did this now mean that I would make some money or did my wife have to make it all?' , I had to make a choice on how I responded. I could get upset and angry, or I could ask myself a question as to what was great about the comment/situation.
I asked the question and the answer I got back was 'I am blessed to have the love and understanding of a great woman who knows the truth about the situation.'

So with this exercise I regained the power over a situation that only a few years ago I would have completely lost it over.

With that, I am off to make some more money.

Make it a great day you absolutely deserve it.
