One Week In

Well as the title suggests we have been here now just about a week and it has absolutely flown by.
We stumbled under s little bit of a lucky star I guess you could say, we have been asked to house sit for a fantastic lady while her and her mother go to down to Canberra for a month, so that eases the pressure a little in trying to find a house, we are looking at some form of transport today so will have that sorted soon also.

I would like to take this time to let you out there know how you can help us in our journey to for from $0 - $1,000,000 in 12 months. Over the next 12 months you will see a a lot of changes to the way this site looks, all of which are being done to help us reach our goal.
One of the ways you are able to help us is by subscribing to this BLOG, it will not cost you anything to do this, it just means that when ever we place a new post it will be sent to you so you can read it and see how we are progressing. Another thing that you are able to do to help us here is to get the word out to people, send them the link, we really want to share our journey with you, all of the highs and the lows too for that matter.
I would like to thank you in advance for this and I sincerely look forward to hearing from you while we fulfill this challenge.

OK so a little back ground as to why.
When I was young I always thought I would be someone, hell didn't we all, and to a lot of people I am sure I am, so that perhaps has been fulfilled. What is is that causes us to think along these lines? Is it perhaps we didn't quite fit in at school, or maybe we were teased by others, what ever it was we were determined that we would show them! Well at least that's how it was for some of us.
I am going to leave you to ponder on that a little, I would love to hear your opinion on the topic. Of course you can comment on any of the posts that are made here.

One of the main things I want to achieve with this BLOG and to make sure you keep coming back is to add some value here and to give some tools and strategies to help you succeed in what ever it is you are trying to achieve yourself. If there is anything you would like to hear about or there are some problems you are having and would like some help with then let us know, and we will help where we can.

Some people have said that we have set a lofty goal, in fact I even got told by my accountant to set a more "realistic" target. This sort of comment is a little from what I spoke of in the last post 'And So it Begins' These are the dream stealer's. Now as I said, it is not that they do not support you, they do not want to see you disappointed if you do not in fact reach that goal. To that I say the easiest way to not succeed in fulfilling your goal is focusing on why you might not. i.e. Like energy attracts like energy, what you focus on what you will surely get.
The way I look at this challenge is this, there are plenty of people that have made more than a million in 12 months, if they can do it so can I.
The way some people will look at it is this way, You have not made a million ever, what makes you think you can do it in 12 months?
Obviously there are stumbling blocks in one or the others thinking. I'll give you a clue, its not mine. The difference here is a thing called context. It is directly related to a thing called the comfort zone!

So here is this posts little pearl.
How can you achieve what ever it is you desire? Believe it. It is really is as simple as that. There is of course a caveat that goes along with it. You must believe it with such a passion that you can already see it! Feel it, Taste it. Visualize daily, tell as many people as you can about it!! Its funny to see their reactions. Only thing I would say with that is this, they may not necessarily understand, so do NOT take what they may say to heart! Just believe!

I know it seems ridiculously simple, that is because it is. Remember this, the clearer you can make your vision and goal, the faster it will come to you.
  • Visualize, get a clear picture about what you want, get really passionate about it.
  • Verbalize, tell as many people as you can, you just don't know how they may be able to help you unless they know what you are trying to achieve.
  • Materialize, this is where the all your efforts start to come into play, you get your goals!

Have fun with this, after all that is what life is all about, having fun, believe me once you start along these lines, there is not a lot that will phase you, just ask our families!! Ha, I am going to leave you with that thought, until the next post, live life to the full and make it a most outstanding day, you certainly deserve it!

And So it Begins

The Adventure has now officially begun, well, I suppose it had already done that before we left, what a hectic three weeks it was leading up to our departure. We got rid of everything in our house, so of course we could start from scratch!
So here we are, across the ditch and in the sun, of course there were some tearful good byes at the airport and before that too. We are both pretty sure our family understand that this was something we really had to do.

We have been here now for about four nights, three full days. First of all we got our daughter back into school, that went without a hitch. So of course this left us over to looking for a new place to live and getting our bearings.
It has taken pretty much this long to get an Internet connection established, there are a lot of hoops to jump through to get any sort of credit or utilities. We have managed to get a few things running.

I have started my marketing again for my business and of course this is just one of the income streams that we will be using to go from $0-$1,000,000 in 12 months. Sarah has already been offered 3 different jobs here and it is looking very promising so far for all that we have planned.

Now is the time where I want to share a little pearl.
We all have great friends and of course family. These friends and family only want the best for you and of course they do not wish to see you hurt in any form, whether that be physically, financially or emotionally. So of course they are always happy to give advice, for years I was really appreciative of this, and to be fair it may have been to my detriment. I would not change that for the world, as it has helped me become who I am. I would say however be wary of the advice they are giving out. Ask yourself a question, are these people qualified to pass judgment on what they are giving you advice on? There is a very good phrase that goes with this, "the most expensive advice you can get, is free advice" take that for what it is.
Of all people I understand the excitement of starting with a new idea, or concept. All we want to do is share with people, and of course we go about telling people with all the energy of a 9 month old Alaskan Malamute pup. Slowly but surely as you talk to people and they either do not share, or do not fully understand what it is you are on about they start to steal your energy and by the end of it you feel like you have been hit by a truck.
This is why you need to be wary of who you talk too. It not that they do not care, it is because they care so much. The problem is that they don't understand.

When you loose focus you risk loosing your dreams. Only you can make the final decision.

I'll leave with this, 'Regret for the things you have done can be tempered by time, it is the regret for the things you have not that is inconsolable
